Impulse Bye

track what you didn't spend
&
celebrate every dollar you save

๐ŸŒฑ
beta launch Q1 2024

An app for anyone who:

๐Ÿ’ธ practices being intentional with how they spend their cash
๐Ÿ’ธ is saving up for a big purchase
๐Ÿ’ธ wants to feel more in control of where their money goes
๐Ÿ’ธ has spent too much on things they're excited about but then use once

cool, but like how?

tbh this is a bit of a science experiment, with the hypothesis that these two things will help me (and anyone else who wants to impulse buy less often) be more intentional when spending.

1. dopamine <3

After adding a new item, you'll see the total amount you haven't spent go up, and feel proud of yourself for saving your money and overcoming your impulse.More fanfare will be added to this page to celebrate every little win. ๐ŸŽ‰

2. intentional introspection

After your mini-celebration, there are three journaling prompts to get introspective with. It's time to be honest with yourself and think about why you want this thing, when's the best time to buy it, and how else you could satisfy whatever desires it inspired.

so are you charging for an app that's supposed to help people spend less?

Yes, and no.While the app is in beta, it will be free (with a donation link bc building anything is work, and any support is appreciated). After a few months (๐Ÿคž๐ŸฝQ2 of 2024), it will be a one time fee, amount to be determined. For existing users, I want to give the option to either pay or trade for a feedback session or something along those lines. We'll figure that out when it's time.
